The Dressing Room

Decorating the dressing room at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles was a challenge that second weekend in September 1999. We wanted to do something that had never been done before and so our crusade began. Rumor had it that Barry had always been a big Danny Kaye fan and once that was confirmed by an 'inside source' we went to work. The comparisons between Barry and Danny were amazing!

With the help of all our members we put together a fabulous memory album for Barry, complete with Danny Kaye memorabilia and all the comparisons we found; as well as photos of MM members, our travels and the people we've met along the way; Monty's travels and our tribute stars and so much more. The album was truly a labor of love by all who were involved in its creation.

Our search for items netted us a wonderful find; a bow tie owned and worn by Danny Kaye. We were even lucky enough to find a photo of Danny wearing the same tie in a movie. These items were framed and left as a gift for Barry as well as with other gifts from our members. And being an original 'tree people' at the Greek I couldn't pass up the opportunity to leave a small tree in the dressing room, complete with little cutouts of fans in it's branches.
